Michelle, who is originally from the UK and a huge Great British Bake-Off fan, first learned about Cake4Kids while living in the San Francisco Bay Area. After moving to Huntsville, Alabama, she was excited to discover that Cake4Kids was in her new hometown, too. After quickly getting involved in baking, Michelle knew she wanted to give even more to the community and joined the chapter leadership.

Before volunteering with Cake4Kids, Michelle worked in biomedical research, technical training, and customer support. She has always enjoyed baking and creating birthday celebrations for family and friends and has spent many years volunteering with youth, education, and community-based organizations.

In her spare time, Michelle enjoys traveling, gardening, training rescue dogs, and spending time with her husband and two children. Her involvement with Cake4Kids is especially meaningful because she volunteers in memory of her brother, who always said, “It isn’t a birthday without cake.”
