Leigh Ann Higa
Sacramento Ambassador

Leigh Ann joined Cake4Kids in 2018 in Fresno, first as a volunteer baker, then as Volunteer Coordinator. Following her relocation to Sacramento, Leigh Ann succeeded Mary Barnes, founding Ambassador, as Ambassador in March 2021. Leigh Ann is a genetic counselor at UC Davis, where she works with the families of pediatric and adult patients. 

Leigh Ann first worked with underserved populations as a community college instructor in South Seattle. She has volunteered with a crisis hotline, learning center for low-income adults, and kitten nursery. 

In her free time, Leigh Ann enjoys theatre, reading, and staying active with strength training and spin.
