Hannah Otte
San Diego Ambassador

Hannah stepped into the San Diego Ambassador role in December 2022 after being a volunteer baker in her chapter for over a year and a half! Outside of baking, she is a scientist at a San Diego biotechnology company, which focuses on the application and impact of genomics. Hannah coordinates and runs DNA sequencing for R&D projects across the globe.

Hannah brings forward volunteer experience in education with underserved elementary school students and with the residents of Father Joe’s Villages, where she helped serve warm meals for nearly a decade. Hannah became interested in Cake4Kids after searching for volunteer opportunities in San Diego during the COVID-19 shutdown. She was thrilled to see the direct impact Cake4Kids and volunteer bakers had on a celebration that otherwise may not have had a special treat to accompany it.

In her free time, Hannah loves to spend time outdoors rock climbing, visiting National Parks with her partner, and spending time with her parents and their Pomeranain, Biscotte!
