I was born in Michigan and moved around until I landed in Minnesota. After growing up there I moved to Wisconsin to attend college at UW Madison. I love planning fun events with friends like beach days or brunch. I also love spending time with family, particularly going on trips to warm states or historical sites. 

My favorite thing to bake: Brownies 

The first thing I ever made: Thumbprint cookies

What inspired your love for baking?

As a child, I baked a lot with my mom and grandmas. We would get together during the Christmas season and bake many types of cookies. I fell in love with my grandma’s favorite thumbprint cookies. I started making them outside of Christmas and my baking hobby took off from there. I have been able to continue my hobby in college now that I have an apartment with a good kitchen. I usually bake for my roommates now, especially when we have movie nights. I find that baking is jot only fun for me but is also a way to relieve stress and bring back happy memories from my childhood. 

Why did you want to participate in Cake4Kids? 

I am a triplet with two brothers. Despite our birthdays always being the same day, my mom always made sure we each had our own individual cake. This always meant so much to me and made me feel special. Something as simple as your own cake or treat on your birthday leaves a lasting impact. I want to help kids in Madison feel the same way.
