I love to be outside in the summer, spring, and fall. I do not like winter and tend to hibernate during cold months! My husband and I love taking our “couples camper” to the mountains and exploring all of Idaho’s beauty while casting a line in a lake or river. I love spending time with family and friends, visiting the local wineries, going to concerts and watching my oldest race stock cars at the local track. Now that we are empty nesters, we have four dogs and three cats and I have recently taken up photography and enjoy it, when I can figure out how to run my camera, that is.
What or who inspired my love of baking?
My grandmother (Nanny) was an amazing cook and baker and I learned a lot from her. We used to chat on the phone every week and share cooking and baking ideas with each other. Some of my favorite recipes were hers.
What was the first thing I ever baked?
In elementary school, my friends and I would bake cakes and “invent” recipes. We once baked a cake and sat it on the back porch to cool. My cat stuck its paw in it and made a big hole. We frosted it anyway and gave it to my friend’s older brother. He never knew!
