Tell us a little bit about yourself!

Whether it's hiking to a new waterfall, playing with my dogs, or tending to our small farm I love being outside. As an Enneagram Institute personality type 7 (Enthusiast) & 2 (Helper), trying new things and helping people are my driving forces. Which is kind of a great look into what motivated me to start a Cake4Kids chapter in Kentucky!

What was your biggest #bakingfail?

I have probably had more cooking and baking fails than I can count but many of my earlier fails usually revolved around understanding the difference between "Baker's Joy" non-stick spray and regular ol' Pam. I didn't realize you need to flour the pan but even when I did I messed that part up! I make yummy and pretty snacks now but it definitely didn't come to me naturally -- my love for sweets and desire to be "extra" for my loved ones motivated me to really figure it out.

Why did you want to start Cake4Kids in your area?

Birthdays have always been so important to me. Holidays are great but there's something so awesome about a day dedicated to one specific person! I believe that every child should feel special on their birthday and hopefully by bringing Cake4Kids to my area, we can make that happen. Baking a cake is such a simple way to impact someone's life. That's one of the great things that encouraged me to bring Cake4Kids to Central Kentucky, it doesn't take a big financial investment to give someone that warm fuzzy feeling on a day that should be all about celebrating them!
